My First Blog

Joe and I have been wanting to start one of these for a while now so here it goes. Hopefully we will be able to keep more people updated with what's going on. Nothing super new to report. Elijah has been talking like crazy. He repeats a lot of what we say and remembers most of the words we teach him (and don't teach him). Now the only problem is remembering what we've taught him so we can understand what he's saying. I guess it just takes time. He's getting so big and will turn 2 on the 21st of this month. His cousin Brielle comes to play twice a week now and he is learning a lot from her. We've noticed that when we ask him a question he now pauses to think about it and puts his finger to his chin (something Brielle does). He definitely looks up to her.
Joe is still enjoying his classes. He's taking an ESL class this year that he is learning a lot from and has started using what he's learned in his classroom. He actually volunteered to test out a new teaching method in his classroom and be observed by live video. He just started it today so we'll let you know how it goes.
As for me I'm still working as a secretary at a car repair shop and doing graphic design from home. Nothing too new and exciting.
We have been working hard on the updates in our basement and are almost done with the laundry room/bathroom. However, that is just the first on a long list. But we love our home and are slowly making it ours. Some day I will be able to walk into a room and not be reminded of projects that need to be started/finished. That's the dream anyway.
Hope all is well with everyone and I will try hard to keep this going.

Very impressive, young lady. I hardly have time to read blogs, much less write one! Thanks for keeping me in the loop. It helps to feel close when we are so far away.

Love you guys!
