It's A Girl!!
Today Joe took the day off and we took Elijah to the doctors with us to see the new baby. We told him he could see the baby in mommy's tummy. But I think he was a little disappointed that it was only on a monitor and that we didn't actually get to take the baby home with us. And, like the title says, IT'S A GIRL!! We are so excited! We went out afterwards and bought a cute little pink dress. It will probably be the one and only thing I will ever buy for her. I know there are a lot of clothes in closets out there waiting to come live at our house. And according to our deal, Joe gets to grow out his beard. Hopefully he'll get sick of it before too long. As far as names go we both agree on Hailey Evelyn. Evelyn is my Mother's middle name and my Grandmother's first name. The funny thing is, my Mom doesn't even like her middle name.
Since I am actually updating the blog, I will update you on other things as well. Last week I started school again. It's online and hopefully will work out with my schedule. I'm trying to decide if I want to quit my job at the mechanic shop just so I have one less thing to do. But they have treated me really well and have made it possible for our car to get fixed when it otherwise wouldn't have been possible. I'm finally almost done with the sickness part of pregnancy. Let's hope I'm ready for the rest.
Elijah is doing well. He's learning his colors and shapes. He's also at the point where he has decided that he can make his own choices and not listen to what mommy and daddy say, especially when it comes to bed time. We're working on it... He's growing fast and is as big as both of his 3 yr. old cousins. He also loves singing nursery songs. Especially the bus song and the one about the monkeys in the trees.
Joe is still enjoying school. Thank goodness. Although I think he has come down with every cold known to man. I suppose it's part of the job. He is also very much looking forward to the boys trip down to St. George and a visit to In 'N' Out Burger. He'll be gone the whole weekend. I've offered to let him take Elijah and he declined. Darn.
That's about it for us this time. Thanks for reading!
