Hailey has arrived!
Wow, it's kinda been a while since I posted last. For some reason I was thinking it hadn't been that long. Oops. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that Hailey Evelyn Ribera was born on August 4th at 12:42 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. (over a pound more than Elijah) and was 20 inches long. Everything went extremely well. I got to the hospital at about 6 am and had my epidural at 9:00. Then I slept until it was time to start pushing. Not so bad. I'll take that over a c-section any day.
She's a super sweet little girl. She has already slept for 6 hours during the night. SWEET! And when she is hungry I don't wake up to crying, I wake up to quiet fussing and her trying to eat her hands. It's a good thing she's right next to my bed or I would never hear her. She looks a lot like Elijah. Same nose and lips. I keep looking at him and trying to picture him with long hair and wearing pink. Hopefully Hailey looks better than the image I have in my head. Not that Elijah isn't a great looking boy...
As far as other parts of our life go, Joe starts school again next week. He's a little stressed and not completely ready for it. He is still trying to organize his new classroom and he has yet to receive the new history text book.
I'm done working at the auto shop, thank goodness. Life is much more simple in that aspect. I have been called to teach the 14-17 year olds in our ward. It's something new and different. Usually it's Joe that gets those kinds of callings. But he comes into class with me which is nice because he helps to keep the boys under control.
Elijah is doing well and is getting huge! Having a new little baby makes it easier to see just how grown up he is. He is a great older brother. He loves to hold Hailey and kiss her. He also likes to sit and talk to her. He has started throwing more tantrums, but we'll take care of that.
Hope all is well with everyone. Thanks for all of the love and support!
